PICSART X SEEDANCE: NIGHTMARE CHALLENGE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Sponsored by Picsart, Inc., 1010 S Federal Hwy, Onyx Tower, Suite 1103, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, United States (“Sponsor”). The Picsart x Seedance: Nightmare Challenge (the “Contest”) begins on October 15, 2026 at 15:00 UTC and ends on November 1, 2026 at 15:00 UTC (the “Submission Period”).
Agreement to Official Rules. By entering or participating in the Contest, including by voting, you (“Entrant”) accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Sponsor’s decisions regarding the Contest are final and binding in all respects.
Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry and who have Internet access. The Contest is available globally, except in Italy, Brazil, OFAC-sanctioned countries, the province of Quebec and any other jurisdiction where prohibited by law.
Employees of Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, individuals providing services to Sponsor through an outsourcer or temporary employment agency during the Submission Period, individuals who receive compensation from Sponsor for promoting the Contest (including participants in Picsart’s Earn program and influencers under paid promotional arrangements with Sponsor) and their respective immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible to enter or win.
Entrants must comply with the Picsart Community Guidelines and Terms of Use at all times.
How to Enter
Entry deadline is November 1, 2026 15:00 UTC. To enter, Entrant must complete all of the following steps during the Submission Period:
Create an original Halloween-themed video using one of the following Seedance models in the Picsart Video Generator or AI Playground: Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini, or Seedance 2.5 (each, a “Seedance Model”). The video must clearly relate to Halloween. Any genre or tone is welcome, and any aspect ratio and resolution is accepted.
Submit the video through the official Picsart Challenges feature on the Picsart mobile app or website, either (i) by generating the video in Picsart’s AI Playground and selecting “Submit,” or (ii) by uploading from Entrant’s device a video generated with Seedance outside of Picsart.
Entrants may edit, sequence, add sound to, or apply post-production to the video, provided that the core visuals are generated using a Seedance Model.
Each Entrant may submit up to three (3) entries per account; each entry must be a distinct video and not a minor variation of another entry. Each Entrant may win only one (1) prize, even if more than one of Entrant’s entries ranks highly. Entrants are encouraged to share their entry on Instagram, tag @Picsart, and include #picsartxseedancenightmarechallenge, but social media sharing is not required for entry. All entries must comply with the Picsart Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
For each Qualifying Entry, Sponsor will issue to Entrant’s Picsart account credits equal to the credits Entrant spent generating that entry in the Picsart app (“Challenge Credits”) within thirty (30) days after Sponsor accepts the entry. A “Qualifying Entry” is an entry that Sponsor determines meets all requirements of these Official Rules, up to three (3) per Entrant. Challenge Credits will not be issued for credits spent on drafts, unsubmitted videos, or entries that are rejected or disqualified. Entries generated outside of Picsart are not eligible for Challenge Credits. Challenge Credits expire one (1) month after the date they are issued to Entrant’s account; unused Challenge Credits will be forfeited on expiration and will not be reissued. Challenge Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, may be used anywhere in the Picsart app, and are subject to the Picsart Terms of Use. If an entry is later disqualified, Sponsor may deduct the Challenge Credits from Entrant’s account. Challenge Credits do not affect judging or voting.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or received outside the Submission Period will not be eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or unintelligible entries or for any technical failures affecting the ability to submit an entry.
Judging and Voting
Winners will not be selected at random. Five (5) winners will be selected by a panel of judges (“Jury Picks”) and five (5) winners will be selected by public vote (“Community Picks”).
Jury Picks. All eligible entries will be evaluated during the judging period from November 1, 2026, 15:01 UTC to November 4, 2026, 15:00 UTC by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor (the “Judging Panel”). Entries will be judged on the following criteria, weighted equally:
Creativity and originality, meaning a fresh take on Halloween;
Visual quality, including cinematography, coherence, and motion;
Storytelling and atmosphere, including mood, tension, and emotional impact;
Theme fit, meaning how well the entry captures Halloween; and
Effective use of the Seedance Model, including how far the entry pushes the model’s capabilities.
In the event of a tie among Jury Picks, the entry with the highest score in effective use of a Seedance model will prevail. The Judging Panel’s decisions are final and binding in all respects.
Community Picks. Eligible entries will be available for public voting in the Picsart app from November 1, 2026, 15:01 UTC to November 4, 2026, 15:00 UTC (the “Voting Period”). The five (5) entries with the most valid votes at the end of the Voting Period, excluding Jury Picks and entries from Entrants who have already won, will be the Community Picks. In the event of a tie among Community Picks, the Judging Panel will decide the tie by applying the judging criteria described above, with the entry receiving the highest score in creativity and originality prevailing.
Voting Integrity. Votes generated or obtained through bots, scripts, or other automated means, fake, duplicate, or multiple accounts, vote trading, offering or paying anything of value for votes, or any other manipulation of the voting process are void. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, investigate voting activity, disregard any vote it suspects is invalid, and disqualify any entry or Entrant connected to suspected manipulation, whether or not the Entrant personally engaged in the manipulation. Sponsor's determinations regarding voting are final and binding in all respects.
Prizes
A total of ten (10) cash prizes will be awarded to winners: five (5) Jury Picks and five (5) Community Picks. Each winner will receive $2,500 USD paid via electronic transfer within thirty (30) days of winner verification. No substitution of prizes is permitted, except at Sponsor’s sole option for a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable. Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $25,000.
Notification of Winners
Winners will be announced on November 4, 2026 15:01 UTC. Sponsor will attempt to notify each potential winner by email within ten (10) business days of the announcement. Each potential winner must return a completed affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release (where permitted by law) within seven (7) days of notification. If a potential winner cannot be reached, is found ineligible, fails to return the required documents within the specified timeframe, or declines the prize, that potential winner will be disqualified and Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries in the same winner category at its sole discretion.
Taxes
All federal, state, local, and foreign taxes on any prize are the winner’s sole responsibility. The approximate retail value of each prize is stated for tax reporting purposes only and does not constitute a representation of actual value.
Winners agree to provide any tax information and complete any forms reasonably required by Sponsor for tax reporting purposes.
For U.S. residents: prizes valued at or above the applicable reporting threshold may require IRS Form 1099-MISC reporting. Winners residing outside the United States are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax laws in their jurisdiction of residence.
Content Requirements and Prohibited Content
All entries must comply with the Picsart Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. Entries containing any of the following will be disqualified:
Content that is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or indecent;
Content that depicts gratuitous gore or graphic violence;
Content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or rights of publicity (including characters, brands, logos, or music Entrant does not have rights to, provided, however classic public-domain figures (e.g., Dracula, witches, ghosts) are permitted);
Content that is defamatory, libelous, threatening, hateful, or harassing;
Content that violates any applicable law or regulation;
Content that includes personally identifiable information, or the name, likeness, or voice, of any third party without that person’s written consent;
Commercial advertising, spam, or solicitations;
Content that is otherwise objectionable, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Videos whose core visuals were not generated using a Seedance Model are not eligible and may be disqualified. Sponsor may request proof that an entry was generated using a Seedance Model, such as generation records, and may disqualify any entry for which adequate proof is not provided. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that violates these content requirements at any stage of the Contest.
Intellectual Property; License Grant
By submitting an entry, Entrant represents and warrants that the entry (i) has core visuals generated using a Seedance Model, (ii) is Entrant’s original work and (iii) does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, rights of privacy, or rights of publicity.
Entrant retains ownership of the entry, subject to the license granted herein. By entering, Entrant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works of the entry in any media, for any commercial or promotional purpose, with credit to the Entrant. No additional compensation shall be payable to Entrant in connection with this license.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Entrant waives any moral rights in the entry.
Publicity
By entering the Contest, Entrant consents to Sponsor’s use of Entrant’s name, Picsart username, country of residence, likeness, biographical information, and entry (including any video content submitted) for advertising, promotional, and marketing purposes in any media now known or hereafter developed, worldwide, without additional compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law. Entrant acknowledges that Sponsor is not obligated to make any use of the rights granted in this Section.
Disclaimers and Limitations on Liability
By entering the Contest, Entrant agrees that Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for: (a) late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, or illegible entries or votes; (b) any technical failures, including hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, failed electronic communications, or delays or errors in issuing the Challenge Credits; (c) unauthorized human or automated intervention in any part of the Contest, including voting; (d) any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize; or (e) entries or votes that are late, forged, destroyed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.
Sponsor’s aggregate liability to any Entrant in connection with the Contest shall not exceed the approximate retail value of the prize for which such Entrant is eligible. Entrant assumes all risk of participation.
Indemnification
By entering the Contest, Entrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, losses, damages, judgments, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Entrant’s participation in the Contest; (b) any breach of these Official Rules by Entrant; (c) any violation of any third-party rights, including without limitation intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights; or (d) any misrepresentation made by Entrant in connection with the Contest.
Additional Considerations
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, if fraud, vote manipulation, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control compromises the integrity, security, or proper administration of the Contest. Sponsor may extend the Voting Period or judging period, and adjust the winner announcement date accordingly, by posting notice in the Picsart app. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant who violates these Official Rules, tampers with the entry or voting process, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor may withhold Challenge Credits from, or suspend issuance of Challenge Credits for, any Entrant Sponsor suspects of abuse, including use of multiple accounts.

This data will be used solely for Contest administration, judging, voting integrity review, winner notification, prize fulfillment, issuance of Challenge Credits, and tax reporting.
